The Radish Rolls of Qingcaoba, also known as “Ginger Rolls“, are a kind of folk pickled vegetables with strong regional characteristics in Longshi Town, Hechuan District. With radish as the main raw material, they are processed through multiple procedures such as slicing, drying in the sun, pickling, mixing seasonings, rolling up, and winding with threads. The Radish Rolls of Qingcaoba not only have an elegant appearance but also feature crisp, tender and refreshing texture as well as a sweet taste, leaving people with an endless aftertaste.

The production history of Hechuan Xiayan can be traced back to the Song Dynasty when the social economy was prosperous and cultural arts were flourishing. The stone materials for the Hechuan Xiayan are distributed in the area behind the mountain in Maliu Village (Modao Stream), Caojie Street, Hechuan. It is also known as “Black Jade Stone“. Compared with other stone materials, the Black Jade Stone is fine, smooth, moderately hard and soft in texture, and has an elegant color. It can grind ink quickly without damaging the tips of writing brushes. After being made into an ink-stone, the water stored in it will not dry up for several days and the ink stored in it will not go bad. It is highly favored by men of letters and is one of the three famous ink-stones in Bayu.
