



Inscription of “Buddha Names ” written by Shi Manqing
The inscription is 3.4 meters high, 2.6 meters wide, with an area of 8.84 square meters. There are twelve Chinese characters for names of three greatest Buddhist masters (Amitabha, Siddhattha Gotama and Maitreya) written in standard handwriting style. Each character is 0.8 meters high, 0.7 meters side. The characters were written by Shi Manqing, a famous writer of the Northern Song Dynasty.
This inscription is of great artistic value. It is known as one of “the best inscriptions in the Diaoyucheng City, the other two being the inscriptions of “Yi Wo Qian Gu” (a sleep of a thousand years) and “Diao Yu Cheng.”
