“Ancient Diaoyucheng Fortrees“ cliff inscription
The inscription was originally carved on the cliff of Maitreya Buddha in the Tang Dynasty. In the autumn of July 1944, due to heavy rain, the original Maitreya statue and part of the cliff body fell from the top of the mountain to the entrance gate at the foot of the mountain. After the rock fall, a wall was left. Later, Du Zhaolin, who worked in calligraphy in Ba County of Chongqing and Yanting of Sichuan Province, visited the Diacyuncheng Fortrees, and the county people asked for its inscription, and began to obtain "ancient Diaoyucheng Fortress" ink, and carved stone.
